An evolution in the sector of microelectronics took place in the past decades. A lot of features and functions, which were on external chips in the past and also totally new functions, are already integrated into one single chip. The trend goes to one chip computer systems, so called Systems on Chips (SoCs) 4]. This book basically deals with a Cypress Programmable Systems on Chip (PSoC) microcontroller. A PSoC is explained by using a real project that was done for the microelectronic laboratory at the University of Applied Sciences in Wels. The goal of the mentioned project was a system investigation of the PSoC system, the development of a test board (printed circuit board) for it and the creation of example projects for different applications in order to support the students at the laboratory. Through the fact, that most parts of the book are explained by using example projects, it is suitable as well for engineers with technical background as persons who are interested in electronics, microcontrollers, development of a printed circuit board (PCB) for microcontrollers and especially Systems on Chip.

Laut Kreditschutzverband KSV1870 hat es im ersten Halbjahr 2011 in Osterreich 1657 eroffnete Insolvenzverfahren gegeben (vgl. www.ksv.at 2011a). Unternehmen beeinflussen aber nicht nur sich selbst, sondern auch ihr Umfeld. Insolvenzen betreffen sowohl Kunden als auch Lieferanten (vgl. Eschenbach/Siller 2011, S. 9). Somit stellen Insolvenzen einen enormen volkswirtschaftlichen Schaden fur den Industriestandort Osterreich dar. Etliche Studien zeigen, dass die Hauptgrunde von Insolvenzen auf ein unzureichendes oder fehlendes Controlling zuruckzufuhren sind. Die Frage, ob und in wieweit Controlling als Instrument zur Insolvenzvermeidung verwendet werden kann, wird allerdings nicht beantwortet. Die Ergebnisse einer qualitativen Umfrage zeigen, dass Controlling nur zur Insolvenz-Vermeidung beitragen kann, wenn die notwendigen Voraussetzungen dafur gegeben sind. Dies sind eine funktionierende Finanzbuchhaltung, eine adaquate Kostenrechnung sowie die Akzeptanz der Controllingabteilung. Das wichtigste aber ist die Einstellung der Unternehmensfuhrung, die auch gewillt sein muss, die notigen Konsequenzen aus den vorliegenden Informationen zu ziehen. Controlling-Instrumente wie Umsatzplanung, Liquiditatsplanung und Liquiditatskontrolle werden zur Fruherkennung einer Liquiditatskrise eingesetzt. Speziell die laufende Kontrolle des Liquiditatsplans ist essentiell.
